A long time ago I used a Commodore 64 and I used to go by the name JC of XAKK.
My 64 is stuffed away in the attic and I haven't used it for a long time, but
one day I stumbled upon my old assembler on a web page, and I decided to add a
page with some C64 stuff.
- JC Assembler
- In january 2004 I found an old version of this assembler on Laze Ristoski's
web page.
I don't own a 1541 any more but he helped me read my old floppy disks, and now
the last version is available with source code. I release it under the
following license:

This means that you can do more or less whatever you want - including copying,
modifying and selling it - as long as you don't remove the copyright notice.
If you modify the assembler, you of course hold the copyright to your own
modifications and you can add your own license that covers your code (but not
remove the existing license since it still applies to the stuff I created).
You don't have to use the same kind of license for your own code if you don't
want to; you can use GPL, a commercial license or any license you want. If you
do improve the assembler it would be cool to hear from you, and if you want I
can add a link to your version from this page.
If you just use the assembler to create your own programs there is no need to
include the copyright notice in your source code of course.
The assembler itself:
- A morse code generator
- A simple morse code generator that was hiding on the floppies Laze Ristoski
copied for me. I'm releasing it under the same license as the assembler. I
believe the speed is measured in "paris"-beat.
- Demos
- I was a member of XAKK, a group that
created some demos. Here are the ones I've been able to find - many are good
but some are not that special. I don't think these are all our demos, but it's
the ones I found.
